SIDNEY — Curtis E. Long, 52, of Sidney passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at 12:23 a.m. at Sidney Care Center.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1964, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late John Long and Charity (Tucker) Smith, who survives.

He is survived by three children, Christopher Long, of Texas, Cara Long, of Franklin, Ohio, and Katherine Long, of Pennsylvania; and six siblings, Debra (Norris) Dawson, David (Nella) Barr, John (Joann) Long, Tim (Donna) Long, Sharon (John) Colley, and Terri Smith (Bill Davis).

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Randy and Sarah; and stepfather, Robert Smith.

Mr. Long was employed by Moraine Industry as a receiving clerk. He served in the Army from 1983 to 1985. Curtis enjoyed watching NASCAR and Football especially his favorite team the Tennessee Titans. In his spare time he enjoyed playing video games and being on his computer.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Kylan Booser officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at Shelby Memory Gardens. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney.
