SIDNEY — David W. Heinfeld, 62, of Sidney, passed away at 12:52 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born, April 30, 1954, in Sidney, the son of the late Robert and Anita (Mann) Heinfeld.

On Nov. 1, 1986, he married the former Regina (Jeannie) Jones, and she survives in Sidney along with three children, Andy (Chelcea) Heinfeld, of Auburn, Indiana, Taylor (Nic) Campbell, of Sidney, and Matthew Mihok, of Sidney; five grandchildren, Carter, Owen, Christian and Leiann Campbell and Elizabeth Mihok; one brother, Ted Heinfeld, of New Mexico; mother-in-law, Charlene Burchett, of Sidney; one sister-in-law, Dianne Dobras, of Sidney, and one brother-in-law, Steve Jones, of Sidney.

Mr. Heinfeld was employed by Thermoseal for 32 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the VFW. David served his country in the Navy from 1978 to 1984. When his sons were younger, he was a Cub Scout leader, and he enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He was an avid reader and loved to go vacationing and spend time with friends. Most of all, David loved his wife and grandchildren, with whom he made many wonderful memories.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, in the Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with the Rev. Jonathan W. Schriber officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson.

Friends may call, Saturday, from 11 a.m. until hour of service.
