SIDNEY - Edward Lee Cox, 73, of 13277 Sharp Road, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at 10 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 12, 1939, in Sidney, the son of the late Leonard and Emma (Muehleisen) Cox. On Jan. 28, 1961, he married Ruth Anne Belt, who preceded him in death July 31, 2010.
He is survived by three children, Cheryl Ann Cisco, of Sidney, Deborah Kay (Cisco) Williams, of Piqua, and David Grillot, and wife, Sue, of Cincinnati; two sisters, Jean and Virginia; eight grandchildren, Casey (Cisco) Reed, and husband, Eric, Laura Williams, Zachary Williams, Jason Cisco, and wife, Missy, Jennifer (Grillot) Martin, and husband, Doug, Willie Grillot, and wife, Nica, Anthony Peterman, and Matt Peterman; and 12 great-grandchildren, Malachai, Kailey and Skylar Martin, Damon, Payton and Avalon Grillot, Tristan and Emmaley Cisco, Samuel and Lucille Ann Reed, and Zaelan and Zayne Williams.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joe Cisco, and four sisters, Viola, Helen, Mildred and Opal.
Ed was a self-made man and a "Dr. of Metal," running his own welding shop in Sidney. He enjoyed spending time with his Sunday friends, and attending various steam shows in the area.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with the Rev. Joe F. Pumphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Wilson Hospice Care in memory of Edward Lee Cox.
