SIDNEY — Elizabeth J. Bodenmiller, 88, of Sidney, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Sidney, the daughter of the late John and Cecilia (Francis) Meyer. On Jan. 26, 1946, she married Robert Bodenmiller, who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2009.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Cheryl Dietz, of Anna, Mary (David) King, of Botkins, Greg (Kaye) Bodenmiller, Terry (Debbie) Bodenmiller, all of Sidney; son-in-law, Gary Smith, of Sidney; grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Gordon, Jimmy (Treena) King, Jason King, Mindy (Mike) Hiler, Maryann (Jessy) Howard, Jessica (Jason) Lemly, Robert Smith, Justin (Stacy) Smith; great-grandchildren, Carter Gordon, Amber, Andrew, Rebecca King, Jarret, Jada, Jadyn Yinger, AJ Howard, Karli and Kelsi Hiler, Austin and Katie Smith, Emma Leiss, Everet Lemly; great-great-grandchildren, Brayden King and Hunter Huffman; sister, Barbara Lettelleir; brother, Paul Meyer; sisters-in-law, Rosie Mullen, Joan Free, Maxine Bowden, Francis Fridley, Marcella Bodenmiller; brothers-in-law, Donald (Carolyn) Bodenmiller and Fred (Evelyn) Bodenmiller.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Smith; brother and sisters-in-law, William and Marie Meyer, Francis and Thelma Meyer; brothers-in-law, Tom Lettelleir, Kenneth, Thomas and Richard Bodenmiller; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Brown, Mary Rickey, Helen Ingersol, Florence Yohey and Nancy Meyer.

Mrs. Bodenmiller was a homemaker and loved taking care of children. She enjoyed bowling and going to the Senior Citizens Center. The family would like to send a special thanks out to Wilson Home Health Care and to Wilson Hospice.

Elizabeth was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.

Friends may call Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave.
