COVINGTON — Esther May Adams, age 86 of Covington, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014.

Esther was born in Bradford, Ohio, on April 4, 1928, to the (late) Glenn Exman and Lova (Gorman) Exman Bashore.

She was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1946. A homemaker and farmer's wife, Esther was a room mother when her children were in school.

She had previously worked at Miami County Dairy, Covington, Ohio, Winans, Piqua, Ohio, Gerlach's Garden Center, Piqua, Ohio. She volunteered with the Republican Party and worked election poles for many years. She was a member of the Greenville Creek Christian Church, Miami County Homemakers, a former member of the Covington Spitfyres, Tuesday Night Bowling League, Covington Eagles Aerie 3998. She was an avid card club member.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Chad Adams; sister, Dorothy Wion; and half brother, Wayne Bashore.

Esther is survived by her husband of 67 years, Maurice Lee "Mose" Adams; her children and their spouses, Larry Lee and Alana Adams, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kathy and Joel Miller, of Covington, Ohio, Kenny and Connie Adams, of Covington, Ohio, and Annette and Tom Francis, of Fort Loramie, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jodi Adams, of Delaware, Ohio, Lucas Moyer, of Arcanum, Ohio, Brandon and Christina Moyer, of Oak Harbor, Washington, Brittany Adams, of Covington, Ohio, Logan and Jessica Adams, of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Cletus and Holly Francis, of Piqua, Ohio, Sara and Brian Lawson, of Sidney, Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Olivia, Keelin, Zoey, Eva, Austin, Allison, Madison, Mckenzie, Caiden, Kendale, Logan, Carter and Cadence; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington, Ohio. Interment Highland Cemetery, Covington.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
