SIDNEY — Geneva Fern (Reynolds) Schulze, age 94, of Sidney, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at 2:38 p.m. at Garbry Ridge Assisted Living in Piqua. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Geneva was born on March 7, 1920, to the late Mary "Effie" (Bicknell) and William Reynolds of Hamilton, Ohio. On Dec. 3, 1943, she was married to Dr. Gilbert E. Schulze, who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1965.

Geneva is survived by three children: Scott (Suzy) Schulze, Gregg (Annette) Schulze, both of Sidney, and Helene (Cort) Dondero, Chattanooga, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Eric (Michelle) Schulze, of Sidney, Kim Schulze of Piqua, Jackie (Tom) Boissonnault, of Brewster, New York, Amy LaRue, of Kissimmee, Florida, Ian (Sara) Schulze, of Anna, Kristen Dondero, of Columbus, and Corrie (Andrew) Chowske, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; and 19 grandchildren.

Geneva worked at the Pentagon as a young woman during World War II. After her husband died, she raised horses and ran a tack shop on her farm. During the 1970s and '80s, she groomed dogs, also at her home. In her later years, she worked at the CAC and Fair Haven, delivering meals to "the elderly." Geneva was an avid reader, acquirer of knowledge, and dreamer. There was nothing in life that she thought she could not do.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Healthy, Ohio, with Pastor Kevin Jud officiating.

Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice in memory of Geneva Fern Schulze. Condolences may be made to the Schulze family at the funeral home's website,
