SIDNEY - Hazel May Leiss, 83, of Sidney, died peacefully on Nov. 7, 2012, at her son's residence in Springfield.
She was born in Sidney on Sept. 30, 1929, to the late George and Florence (Coon) Yinger.
Hazel is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Maribeth Leiss, of Springfield; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Ardell Yinger, of Lima, and Floyd and Mary Lou Yinger, of Sidney.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Waldo Yinger and Warren Yinger; and one sister, Helen Hill.
Hazel loved watching NASCAR and being outdoors. Her first love was her family and friends. Hazel retired from Copeland Corp. in Sidney in 1993.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Adams Funeral Home, 1404 Fair Road with Pastor George Gnade officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery, Lockington. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
