MINSTER — Jerry C. Robbins, age 72, of Eilerman Road, Minster, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence on Friday afternoon, May 16, 2014.

He was born Nov. 10, 1941, in Troy, Ohio, to Edward and Katherine (Brown) Robbins.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherrie Robbins, of Sidney, Ohio; a son, Jerry D. Robbins, of Minster, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cody (Amber) Keith, of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Katie (Ben) Hanicq, of Ohio City, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Ariel and Nathan Keith; and four stepgrandchildren, Kalieb, Draven, Albre and Taylor Hanicq.

He was preceded in death by both parents; seven brothers, Charlie, Clarence, Gene, Oscar, Jack, Dale and Tom Robbins, and two sisters, Thelma Overholser and Ann Westerheide.

Jerry was a retired carpenter. He loved spending time with his family and telling stories. He was an avid outdoorsman, particularly enjoying, hunting and fishing. Jerry had also been a serious NASCAR fan, always rooting for his favorite driver, No. 24, Jeff Gordon.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with the Rev. Brent Driver presiding. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery north of Fort Loramie.

Friends may call Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
