BOTKINS — Joan (Finkenbine) Rogers McGlinch, age 84, of 402 Debra Drive, Botkins, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 5:25 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Joan was born on Jan. 1, 1930, to the late Emory 'Pete' and Erma Finkenbine in Sidney.

On July 23, 1950, Joan married Harold Dean Rogers and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1980. Later she married Roger McGlinch and he preceded her in death in August 2007.

Joan is survived by her children, Tim Rogers and wife, Sue, of Botkins, Kim Genzmer and husband, Bryan, of Fort Collins, Colo., Tony Rogers and wife, Tina, of Botkins, Kelley Douglas, of Columbus, and Todd Rogers and wife, Lisa, of Granville; grandchildren, Ariah Rogers, Lindsay Cooper (Dan), Whitney Rogers, Nicole Allen-Payne (Theresa), Scott Payne and fiancee, Lisa, Brandon Rogers (Kara), Chelsea Rogers, Reese Rogers, Thomas Douglas, Michael Douglas, Madeline Rogers and Lily Rogers; seven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Joann Finkenbine; special niece and constant caregiver, Donna Finkenbine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan was also preceded in death by one brother, Tom Finkenbine.

Joan was a member of the St. Jacobs Church in Anna. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Sidney. She had various jobs over the years.

Joan loved her family. She was a very friendly and compassionate person, enjoyed being around people and spent much of her free time caring for the sick and elderly.

At the family's request, there will be a private gathering of the immediate family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the or Wilson Memorial Hospice, Sidney.
