FORT LORAMIE — John Anthony Fullenkamp, age 36, of Basinburg Road, Fort Loramie, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, June 16, 2018, following an automobile/farm implement accident on the 11000 block of state Route 29 North, Anna, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 10, 1982, in Coldwater, Ohio, to Anthony and Rosemary (Knapke) Fullenkamp, of Fort Loramie. On June 10, 2006, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville, John married Leah (Barhorst) Fullenkamp who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Eliza, Henry, Molly and Greta Fullenkamp, all at home; five siblings, Lisa and Chris Meister, of Worthington, Karen and Geoff McCarthy, of Redondo Beach, California, Janet and Ryan Behrens, of Hilliard, Alan and Rachel Fullenkamp, of West Chester, and Maria and Josh Schmitz, of Maria Stein; in-laws, the late Michael Barhorst, John Searcy, of Sidney, and Donna Castle, of Sidney; grandparents-in-law, Thomas and Bernice Barhorst, of Anna; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Ashley Barhorst, of Anna, Amber and Nick Broerman, of Yorkshire, and Adam and Logan Searcy, of Sidney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and grandparents, Herman and Mary Fullenkamp and Lee and Eleanora Knapke.
Mr. Fullenkamp was a 2000 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He then went on to acquire a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Toledo. John was employed as an electrical engineer at Machine Concepts Inc. in Minster and had also been engaged in farming. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. John was dedicated to his wife and children. He also enjoyed farming, woodworking and inventive projects.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with the Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the John A. Fullenkamp family education fund.

So sorry for your loss. May God be with you and your family at this terrible time of sadness. I didn't know John personally, but he was taken way too soon.
