SIDNEY — Joyce Hottle, 85, of Sidney passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at LanePark of Sidney.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1930, in Jenkins, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Roy and Eunice (Whitt) Owens.

On May 21, 1948, she married Kenneth R. Hottlem who survives along with one son, Gregory Hottlem of Greenville, Ohio; one daugther, Teresa Hottle, of Sherman Oaks, California; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Janet Sherman, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, and Bobbie Soloman of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by one son, Curtis and two brothers.

Joyce along with her husband formerly owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Sidney for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the Sidney First United Methodist Church. Joyce was an avid outdoor person and enjoyed working in her flower beds around their home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney, with the Rev. Jane Madden officiating. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Alpha Center in Joyce Hottle's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
