SIDNEY — June L. Zimpfer, 91, of 14495 Amsterdam Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Dorothy Love Retirement Center, Sidney.

She was born on May 3, 1924, in Piqua, to the late Clyde and Mary Alice Bodenmiller.

She married George W. Zimpfer, Aug. 18, 1945. He preceded her in death, Nov. 8, 2006.

June is survived by a daughter, Janet (Ron) Zimpfer Siegel, of Fort Loramie; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Platfoot Zimpfer; four grandchildren, Mark Shank, Tonya (Chad) Huelskamp, Ted (Molly) Zimpfer, Tim (Raci) Zimpfer; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tom Zimpfer, and a brother, Lowell Bodenmiller.

June was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Botkins. She was employed by Fischer Cheese Co. in Wapakoneta and retired from Copeland Corp. in Sidney. She volunteered her time at Fair Haven Nursing Home in the Activities Department. She loved to bake and share her coffee cakes with family and friends. June enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and games. She loved visiting with family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Family and friends may also visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the time of the funeral services, Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Castor officiating. Burial will follow at Loramie Valley Cemetery, Botkins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dorothy Love Retirement Center, Sidney, in June's memory.
