OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on June 7, 2017, of Katherine "Kay" Gorsuch, beloved wife of Edward; mother of Kim (spouse Desmond), Kevin (Julie), Kent (Stacey) and Kerry (Jill (passed), Kelly); grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of two.

She lived in Jackson Center, Ohio, for 13 years prior to moving to her most recent address in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Kay graduated from Wright State University in 1984, and worked in the accounting field for many years. She enjoyed a wide range of interests, including travelling, weaving, basket making, knitting, yoga, boating and line dancing. Most of all, she loved being with family and friends.

The family will be hosting a celebration of Kay's life on July 16 at 2 p.m. at the Wayside Chapel in Palos Park, Illinois, followed by a reception at the house.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider an optional donation in her name to the or to the American Society for Protection of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA.)
