JACKSON CENTER — Lancson Lee Bertsch, 23, of Jackson Center, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1994, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Jason Bertsch, of Virginia, and Becky (Herman) Hamblin, of Quincy.

Lancson is survived by his fiancee, Kristen Cooke; two children, Marley and Rowen Bertsch; sister, Kylee Yates; brother, Kayden Smith; paternal-grandmother, Barbara Bertsch; and paternal-grandfather, Bob Varno.

He was preceded in death by maternal-grandparents, Betty (Joe) Rimmer.

Lancson was one that lit up any room he was in with his contagious laugh, his bright smile and energy. He gave the best hugs. He loved nature and the outdoors. He loved fishing to his core and enjoyed camping and bonfires with his family and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking. Known as the best chocolate chip cookie baker ever, Lancson loved to bake and cook with his family. He loved to make crafts with his daughter. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Cromes - Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. until hour of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
