Lester Shiveley

SIDNEY — Lester L. Shiveley, of Sidney, Ohio, age 64, passed away July 20, 2016.

He was born March 22, 1952.

Les is survived by his parents Kenneth E. Shiveley and Betty L. Shiveley, of Huber Heights; one brother Ralph (Gene) Shiveley of Malibu, California.

Les leaves behind his wife Carolyn (Ginger) Shiveley; seven children, Monica Shiveley Sexton, Kristin Shiveley Andersen, John A. Rankin, Craig S. Cavanaugh, Chris A Cavanaugh, Curtis L. Cavanaugh and Cheri K. Cavanaugh; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two dogs.

He graduated from Wayne High School in Huber Heights (class of 1970). After graduating he attended Nashville Auto Technical College. He became a member of the Huber Heights Jaycees. Les served 10 years as a deputy sheriff in the Miami County Sheriff Department.

Later he became a driver for PTS of Piqua, BD Transportation of Piqua and Star Fleet of Indiana. Les was an avid sportsman and hunter. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights.
