EATON — Lucille C. Ketring, 87, passed away peacefully at Heartland of Eaton on July 2, 2014.

Born on March 17, 1927, in Maria Stein, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Bergman) Schlarman.

Lucille was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church of Eaton and the St. Anns Sodality. She loved to collect lighthouses, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Billy Joe Ketring, on Dec. 26, 1995; grandson, Keifer Lee Collavo; brothers, Herb (June) Schlarman and Hugo (Liz) Schlarman; sisters, Eileen Schlarman and Rosella (Wilfred) Tanner; and brothers-in-law, Roman Stucke, Cletus Wenning and Ralph Magoteaux.

Lucille is survived by her children, Judi ( Steve) York, of Lexington, Nebraska, Cindy (Joe) Johnson, of New Paris, Ohio, Larry (Deliah) Ketring, of Houston Texas, Michelle (Victor) Collavo, of Lebanon, Ohio, Terry (Lori) Ketring, of Bardstown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Michael (Stacey) York, of Kearney, Nebraska, Shawn (Laura) York, of Ravenna, Nebraska, Shannon (Tammy) Atkins, of Richmond, Indiana, Chris (Brooke) Atkins, of Richmond, Nicole (Francis) Ayson, of San Diego, California, Kim Ketring, of Houston, Texas, Brett Callavo, of Lebanon, Ohio, Zachary Ketring, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Paige (John) Pacheco, of Bardstown, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan York, Alyssa Dewey, Tanner and Sierra Atkins, Christopher and Abigal Atkins, and Josh Atkins; stepgrandchildren, Mariah Adams, Madison Sarver and Justin (Trystan) Johnson; step great-grandchildren, Emma, James and Jacob Johnson; siblings, Lois Wenning, of Osgood, Imelda Stucke, of Osgood, Clara Marie (Ohmer) Brandewie, of Osgood, and Velma Magoteaux, of Troy; sister-in-law Betty Schlarman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, 3377 U.S. Route 35, West Alexandria.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday July 8, 2014, at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 E. Main St., Eaton with the Rev. Thomas Fitzsimmons, officiant. Burial at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
