SIDNEY — Lucinda "Sally" Rose Hemmert, 99, of Sidney, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at 4:32 a.m. at her home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late Urban and Esther (Voisard) Schneider. On Oct. 13, 1934, she married Franklin J. Hemmert, who preceded her in death Aug. 15, 2000.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Bender, of Florida, Phyllis Quinlisk and Connie Courter, both of Sidney; two brothers, Urban E. Schneider and Kenneth Schneider, both of Wapakoneta; one sister, Kathleen Buehler, also of Wapakoneta; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Sally was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She retired at the age of 90 from the Spot Catering, after 45 years of service.

A memorial Mass will be Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., in St. Patrick Catholic Church, in Glynwood, with the Rev. Barry StechSchulte officiating. Commital will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service, at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
