YORKSHIRE — Marjorie A. (Fiely) Gehret, 70, of Coble Road, Yorkshire, passed away of natural causes, Wednesday afternoon, March 22, 2017, in the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.

She was born, March 24, 1946, in Celina, to the late Hubert and Florentine (Jutte) Fiely. On Sept. 4, 1968, in the St. Mary Catholic Church in Philothea, Margie married Cyril R. Gehret, who survives. Also surviving are six children, Janet and Doug Steinbrunner, of Versailles, Karen and Steve Mangen, of Yorkshire, Brian and Cheryl Gehret, of Versailles, Kevin and Angie Gehret, of Fort Loramie, Joyce and Tom Peterson, of St. Marys, and Brenda and Ben Mescher, of Allen, Michigan; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings, Wilma and Joe Barhorst, of Philothea, Alice Grieshop, of Maria Stein, Ruth and Orville Kunk, of Philothea, and Vern and Jane Fiely, of Coldwater; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mildred Bensman, of Versailles, Frances Gehret, of Fort Loramie, Alfred and Rose Gehret, of McCartyville, Mary Ann and Louis Grieshop, of Willowdell, Paul and Bernice Gehret, of North Star, Urban and Irene Gehret, of Frenchtown, Emma Rita and Dennis Heitkamp, of New Bremen, Eva Gehret, Ed and Mary Lee Gehret, of Willowdell, Tony and Donna Gehret, of Versailles, and Mary Ann and John Kuether, of Egypt; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, John Grieshop, Virgil Bensman, Lawrence, Vernon, and Joe Gehret.

A 1964 graduate of Coldwater High School, Margie was a dedicated homemaker and daycare provider. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and many years ago, had been 4-H club adviser of the Yorkshire Patterson Patchers. Margie enjoyed country music, traveling with her sisters and an occasional casino excursion. She baked and decorated many wedding cakes over the years and still enjoyed making special occasion cakes for her family. Margie loved being a grandma and great-grandma.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, in the St. Nicholas Church in Osgood with the Rev. David L. Zink presiding. Interment will follow at St. Martin Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 8 p.m., and Monday, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to Rustic Hope, cancer research or charity of donor's choice. Private condolences may be expressed at
