SIDNEY — Marjorie M. Poole, 79, of 720 Fourth Ave., Sidney, passed away at 4:58 a.m. on March 13, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

Marjorie was born on June 1, 1934, in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Lester and Vernice (Miller) Cheatham.

She was married to R.V. Poole, in 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2010.

Surviving Marjorie is one son, Scott (Tina) Poole, of Sidney; two grandsons, Dustin (Felicia) Poole, of Piqua, and Dakota Poole, of Sidney; one great-granddaughter, Addison Poole, of Piqua; stepgrandsons, Devan and Dylan Slaybaugh, of Sidney; sisters, Lila Edwards, Dixie (James) Hays, Sue (Edward) Easterling, all of Holly Pond, Ala.; brothers, Max Cheatham, Joe (Lennes) Cheatham, Lynn (Paula) Cheatham, all of Holly Pond, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Ann Cheatham and Irene Cheatham, both of Holly Pond, Ala.; brother-in-law, Etsel Poole, of Hartsell, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Poole; two brothers, Clyde Cheatham and Glen Cheatham; brother-in-law, Joe Edwards.

Marjorie was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Sidney. She retired from the Stolle Corp. after more than 40 years of faithful service. In her spare time, Marjorie enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the Full Gospel Community Church, 950 S. Children's Home Road, Sidney, with the Rev. Doug Thobe officiating.

Local visitation for friends and family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the Full Gospel Community Church, prior to services.

Out of town visitation for Marjorie will be held from 11 to noon, on Monday, March 17, 2014, at the Holly Pond Funeral Home, in Holly Pond, Ala. Burial will follow immediately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the or the Wilson Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit, in Marjorie's memory.

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
