Max Overholser

SIDNEY — Max Leland Overholser, age 86, of Sidney, passed away Nov. 15, 2016, at the Dayton VA Medical Center.

Max was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Cletus L. and Ilo (Underwood) Overholser. He was married on July 6, 1974, to Judith (Briggs) Overholser, and she survives.

Max is also survived by children, Wesley Overholser, of Sidney, Alan and Claire Toukan Overholser, of Westerville, Ohio, Jeff and Donna Overholser, of Florida, and Janis and Brad Taylor, of Miami, Florida; two grandchildren; and brother, Paul Overholser.

Max proudly served in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Protestant. He retired after 30 years as Engineer for Dayton Power & Light. He was an avid student of the bible. He enjoyed sports especially Ohio State Football. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217.

Full military services will be performed on Nov. 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dayton VA Hospice Unit, 4100 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio.
