PIQUA — Norman Lee Cromes, 73, of Piqua, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on July 12, 1941, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late Ezra and Gladys (Penrod) Cromes.

On June 24, 1967, he married Gloria Billing, who survives along with two sons, Norman Cromes Jr. and his wife, Nicole, and Steven Cromes and his wife, Angela, both of Piqua; and four grandchildren, Caitlin Cromes, Sara Cromes, Brittany Cromes and Brody Cromes.

Norman worked at the former Miami Industries Corporation and retired from Copperweld Corporation in 2003 after 34 years of service with both companies. Mr. Cromes was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Norman was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes , Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved rabbit hunting and fishing with his friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with Pastor Steve Spoon and Pastor Lincoln Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene of Piqua, Ohio, in memory of Norman Lee Cromes. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
