SIDNEY - Richard M. "Dick" Morelock, 76, of 744 S. Brooklyn Ave., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov, 15, 2012, at 4:38 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Dick was born May 14, 1936, in Sidney, the son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Warnstaff) Morelock.
In 1992, Dick married Jo (Slonskosky) Morelock, and she survives.
Dick is also survived by his children, Pam and Rick Gambill, of Sidney, Penny and Mike Guenther, of Dayton, Patti and Rick Russwurm, of Vandalia, Mich.; two stepchildren, David and Sue Slagle, of Sidney, and Angela Slagle, of Tipp City; brothers and sisters, Roy and Carol Morelock, of Sidney, Joe and Sharon Morelock, of Piqua, June Lantz, of Florida, and Mary Ellen and Robert King, of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Dick was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Young.
Dick was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sidney. He worked at Ross Aluminum and retired after 43 years of dedicated service. He was a long-time member of the Shelby County Fish and Game Club. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed playing cards. He dearly loved spending time with his family, and spoiling and aggravating his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, with the Rev. George Gnade, officiating. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Lockington.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 309 E. North St., in Dick's memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
