WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Richard Joe Miller, age 77, long time resident of Dayton, and born and raised in Jackson Center, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at the Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida.

Richard was married to Cathy Miller for 52 years. Survived by Richard is two sons, Tom (Tonya) Maryville, Tennessee, and Scot, Westerville, Ohio; brother, Gerald Miller, Jackson Center, ohio; sister, Phyllis Jones; grandchildren, Ethan Miller, Joshua Kelly, Miranda Miller and Lauren Miller as well as a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by by his brother, Frederick Miller.

Richard was a graduate of Jackson Center High School and Ohio University. He worked for Citizens Federal Savings and Loan as a senior vice president for 30 years. Richard was very active in community affairs at the Four Lakes Retirement Village in Winter Haven, Florida.

Memorial services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at New Knoxville United Methodist Church, 109 S. Main St., New Knoxville, Ohio. Memorial services will be officiated by Pastor Dennis Gaertner.
