MINSTER — Robert Paul Schwartz, age 79, a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, formerly of West Lake Village, passed away of natural causes Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017, at the FMC Dialysis Center in Sidney, Ohio.

He was born Dec. 11, 1937, in Dawson, Ohio, to the late Paul and Frances (Swob) Schwartz. On Feb. 15, 1977, in Piqua, Bob married Evelyn (Tyler) Schwartz and she survives.

Also surviving are two stepsons, Roy Jr. and Belinda Douglas, of San Antonio, Texas, and Thomas and Sandy Douglas, of Dallas, Texas; five stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Richard and Patricia Schwartz, a sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Schwartz, and one brother-in-law, Roger Liess, all of Fort Loramie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Schwartz, and a sister, Judy Liess.

Bob was a 1955 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He retired in 1980 from the former Val Decker Packing Company in Piqua where he had been a meat cutter. He was a member of the AFL CIO Local 75. Bob enjoyed fishing and visiting his family as often as he had the oportunity.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with the Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date in Shelby Memory Gardens.

Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
