NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Jack Franklin Roeller, 70, of North Las Vegas, passed away July 12, 2014, with family by his side.

He was born in Sidney, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1944, to Carl and Mildred Roeller. Jack grew up in Sidney, and graduated from Sidney High School in 1962. He then moved West to Wyoming. He attended Casper College, and that is where he met the love of his life, Sharline Olson, Shortly thereafter the two were married and they raised their children, Marsha and Jason. Jack called Wyoming home until 1987. He relocated to Las Vegas, where he resided until his passing.

Throughout his life, he loved to take his family camping, fishing and hunting. He was very active in his church and could be found bowling or walking in his Aliante neighborhood He always put his family first and he adored his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved being a grandpa to Tristan, Taylor, Sarah, Emily, Brandon and Jacob. He cherished having his sister Judith nearby, and the two giggled over stories of their childhood. She helped Jack recall happy memories after his Alzheimer's started to advance. Jack's brother Ray would also add some fun memories and laughter during his visits to Las Vegas as well.

Jack and Sharline had a devoted and loving marriage for 46 years until Sharline passed away last July. Jack will always be known for his hard work, his dedication to his family and friends, and his ability to bring a smile to everyone who met him. He truly was a jolly old soul, and during the Christmas holidays he could be found at Meadows Mall bringing joy to all under the alias, Santa Jack. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
