Stephanie was born on May 3, 1961, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to Mary Imogene (Corbin) Bryan. She grew up in Leipsic, Ohio, and lived in Ottawa, Ohio, until she married Jeffery Powers on June 2, 2001, and moved to Sidney, Ohio.

In the evenings, she enjoyed long drives in the country with her husband, where she loved looking for deer on the countryside. Her favorite season was Spring, when the purple lilac bushes bloomed. There was nothing more heavenly to her, than the smell of fresh lilacs. Above all though, she loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.
