WAPAKONETA — Twilah M. Sanders, 79, of Wapakoneta, died 5:25 a.m., SunDAY, Jan. 22, 2017, at her home.

She was born Dec. 31, 1937, in Santa Fe, Auglaize County, the daughter of Frank J. and Pearl A. (White) Watkins, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 11, 1959, she married Eric L. Sanders, and he survives.

Other survivors include four children, Eric David Sanders, Lakeshore, Michigan, Michelle D. (Luis) Linares, Freehold, New Jersey, Lucinda M. Sanders, Wapakoneta, and Jennifer P. Sanders, Sharon Tennessee; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Frey, Cridersville, and Violet Dovel, Sidney.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Watkins, and three sisters, Beulah Carr, Marcella Gundolf and Evelyn Snavely.

Twilah retired from Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney. She later worked for Health Pro, Lima. She was accredited as a Certified Coding Specialist and a Registered Health Information Technician. Twilah was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, St. Marys. She also enjoyed sewing.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (state Route 501) Wapakoneta, with Michael Bissegger officiating. Burial is to follow in the Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio.

The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
