SIDNEY — William "Bill" Fast Jr., 67, of Sidney, passed away at 10:31 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at his residence.

He was born on July 8, 1948, in Celina, Ohio, the son of the late William Fast Sr. and Marie (Prate) Fast, who survives in St. Mary's.

On Nov. 26, 1976, Bill was married to Sherry Richie-Wilgus, and she survives in Sidney along with their two children, Kellie (Greg) Nuss, of Sidney, and Dustin (Julie) Fast, of Fort Loramie; four grandchildren, Bryce Perea, of Denver, Colorado, Britton Perea, of Sidney, Carissa Fast, of Fort Loramie, and Broxton Nuss, of Sidney; and one brother, Jim (Sara) Fast, of Celina.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Fast.

Bill was retired from the former Copeland Corporation as a lab technician. He was a 1967 graduate of St. Marys High School. Bill proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1968 - 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, bowling, and especially his two dogs, Gabby and Casey. He loved his family and created many wonderful memories with them and he will be missed.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at noon at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with the Rev. George Gnade officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that memorial contributions, in Bill's memory, be made to Senior Independence Hospice.
