SIDNEY — Jeffrey Vibar Reyes, 43, of 996 Winfield Court, Sidney, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at 10:30 p.m. at his family's home.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1970, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Dr. Florencio Reyes and the late Zenaida Vibar Reyes.
He is survived by his father, Dr. Florencio Reyes, and stepmother, Rose of Sidney, two brothers, Michael (Jonathan) Mary Reyes, OSB, of the Monastery of St. Benedict Norcia, Italy and Attorney Jeremy Reyes ,of American Canyon, Calif., one nephew, Simon Reyes, one niece, Iris Reyes both of American Canyon, Calif., stepsiblings, Lysandra, Henry and Alyssa, all of Toronto, Canada, one sister-in-law Zita Latona, of American Canyon, Calif., and his beloved dog, Dr. Neo Blu.
Jeffrey was a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School. He graduated from Xavier University in Criminal Justice, and graduated cum laude from the Cleveland Chiropractic College.
Jeffrey worked as a chiropractor in Sidney, Piqua and Troy. He was a first degree black belt in Aikido, and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. from the Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney.
