CORTLAND, N.Y., — Joe A. Kuck, 70, of Cortland, N.Y. and formerly of Sidney, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y.

He was born on March 16, 1944, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Kermit T. and Ella (Hoge) Kuck.

A graduate of Sidney High School in the Class of 1962, and the University of Rio Grande in Ohio, Joe had been employed at the Monarch Machine Tool Company for approximately 20 years before becoming the proprietor of BK Precision Corporation, a contract manufacturing business located in Cortland, N.Y.

Joe was an avid antique car collector and was a regular participant in the Fountain Elms Invitational for antique cars in Utica, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Kuck, of Cortland; stepchildren, Linda (Paul) Charles, Shari (Luis) Constantino, Krystal (Phil) Thorhauer and five grandchildren, all of Cortland; and his brother, W. Theodore (Joan) Kuck, of New York City.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Graceland Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan W. Schriber officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
