SIDNEY — Betty Ann Kindle, 66, of 2587 Oakmont Court, Sidney, Ohio, passed away at 4:24 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at her home surrounded by her friends and family.
She was born on June 3, 1947 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred (Grile) Howell.
She is survived by her son, Paul Kindle and wife, Lisa, of Sidney, Ohio; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Alina Kindle, both of Sidney, Ohio; two sisters, Sondra Kilgore, of Sidney, Ohio, and Clara Mae Oakley and husband, Jack, of Botkins, Ohiol and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her half brother, Ralph Howell, and long-time pet and companion, Jake.
Mrs. Kindle worked as a customer service manager for Holloway Sportswear Inc. in Sidney, Ohio, from where she recently retired on April 15, 2014, after 35 years of service. Betty was one of the original 15 charter members of Russell Road Christian Church in Sidney, where she has faithfully attended over the years. She also served as a member of the Son Reign Prison Ministry.
Betty enjoyed singing and made monthly visits to the Pavilion, and other area nursing homes to sing for the residents. She loved spending time with her family and attending all of her grandchildren's various sporting events. Betty was a compassionate and caring woman, an animal lover, a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always willing to put others before herself. A special thank you to Wilson Hospice, and especially her nurse Lisa for taking such good care of her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave.,Sidney, with the Rev. Fred Gillenwater officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
