SIDNEY — Judith A. Jons, 67, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 9:43 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at her daughter's residence surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Piqua to the late Sheldon and Janet (Hershey) McVety.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherri (Mike) Stalinsky, of Conroe, Texas, Aimee (Jim) Gluckle, of West Liberty, Ohio, and Denise (Michael) Adkins, of Sidney, Ohio; two sons Brian Jons and Kevin Jons, both of Sidney, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy (Harry) Vondeheuvel, of Sidney, Ohio, Sandy (Dave) Hoelscher, of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Teresa Counts of Coshocton, Ohio, and Becky Fantroy of Daytona Beach, Florida; and six brothers, Jim (Barbara) McVety, of Sidney, Ohio, Rick McVety, of Russia, Ohio, Ronald McVety, of Minster, Ohio, Steve (Tammy) McVety, of Sidney, Ohio, Tim McVety, of Minster, Ohio, and Robert (Tracy) McVety, of Sidney, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by two brothers David McVety and Michael McVety.

Judith was a graduate of Minster High School, and worked as an inspector in the shipping department of Reliable Castings Corp. of Sidney for more than 26 years. She was a former member of the Sidney Fraternal Order of the Eagles and its bowling league. She enjoyed her family, gardening, camping and decorating. Her family expresses sincere appreciation to her caregiver, Annette Meyer.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, Ohio, with Hospice Chaplain Philip Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
