SIDNEY — Ben D. Shadoan, 88, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. at The Pavilion.
He was born on June 19, 1926, in Greenwood, Kentucky, the son of the late James C. and Myrtle (Ballou) Shadoan. On June 29, 1953, he married Lola E. Evans, who preceded him in death July 7, 1997.
He is survived by three children, Michael Shadoan of Monroe, Ohio, Belynda Shadoan of Tallahassee, Florida, and Mark Shadoan and wife, Brenda, of Akron, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Adam and Amy Shadoan.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Megan Shadoan.
Mr. Shadoan was a U.S. Army and Air Force World War II veteran serving his country from 1945 to 1948. He retired from Copeland Corporation in 1988 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Full Gospel Community Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Full Gospel Community Church, 950 Childrens Home Road, Sidney, with the Rev. Jeff Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Full Gospel Community Church.
Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
