RUSSELLS POINT — Jerold Lee "Jerry" Eisenhut, 74, of 241 Chase Ave., Russells Point, Ohio, passed away at 7:34 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1939, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph and Kathryn (Buckenroth) Eisenhut.
On Sept. 11, 1965, Jerry was married to Brenda Jean Smith, who survives him along with four children, Deidre (Jeff) Brose, of Athens, Georgia, Debra (Jim) Watterson, of Brooklyn, Michigan, David (Krissy) Eisenhut, of Scotts Valley, California, and Dustin (Amy) Eisenhut, of Lakeview, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Eisenhut, of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allyson Eisenhut.
Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army, enlisting in 1960 and serving two years stationed at Fort Ord in California. He was a general superintendent for Granite and Hood Construction Companies, overseeing complex jobs in civil engineering and infrastructure in California and Hawaii. Jerry was a member of the Russells Point Moose Lodge. In his downtime he enjoyed taking out his boat to go fishing with his close friend Jim Weybright. Jerry always put his family first and had a special bond with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
