My condolences to the family at this time. I didn't know them, however after reading their love story on msn I felt moved and sad\happy to hear of their commitment and passing. It's literally like a scene from the movie, "The Notebook", only better because their story is true. God bless you family, and know that they will both be waiting together to greet you on the other side.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Harold "Doc" Knapke, and his wife.
I was extremely fortunate to play for FRHS in "Doc" Knapke's first year as a coach in both basketball and baseball. I also was priviledged to have him as a teacher in geometry.
My sympathies go out to Doc's many friends and family. Dale Griesinger
