SIDNEY — Frances L. Elmore, 81, of Sidney, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Heartland of Piqua.
She was born on May 9, 1934, in Bermingham, England, the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Stafford) Cooper. On Aug. 2, 1952, she married Clyde Elmore and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Frances is survived by her two children, Sandra (Rick) Comer and William Elmore, both of Sidney; three grandchildren, John Elmore, of Jackson Center, Karie Bell, of Sidney, James Elmore, of Florida; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel (Mick) Best and one brother, John Cooper, both of England.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clyde Elmore Jr.
Mrs. Elmore was a homemaker. She was a member of the women of the VFW, also a member of the English Club and belonged to the Moose. Frances enjoyed knitting, shopping and jewelry. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She made many wonderful memories with them and she will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Elmore family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com.

Fran was a dear friend who hated gossip, you could take it to the bank that anything you told her would not be repeated. A true confidant which is rare these days. May angels walk with you today and always.
