Frank Melvin Kopecky, 77, of Valencia, CA died June 15, 2018, after a year-long struggle with health related issues. Born in Rochester, PA and raised in Monaca, PA Frank was surrounded by his parents and brother, and a large, loving family.

Graduating from high school in 1959, he joined the Marine Corps, serving proudly in Japan and Quantico. Moving to California Frank worked in the plastics industry until retirement in 2003.

His many hobbies included go-cart racing, water-skiing, downhill-skiing, flying and building planes, building and driving a Butler Shelby Cobra, membership in the SCV Corvette Club, membership in SASS; woodturning, cruising, snorkeling, square dancing.

He made and donated pens to our service men and women through the Freedom Pens Organization. He also volunteered with the Newhall Office of the CA Highway Patrol which gave him much pleasure and satisfaction.

Privately cremated with no services, Frank's life will be celebrated at a private function. His love of life, sense of humor, willingness to help, and friendship will be missed by many.
