Louis Klajic Obituary

1935 – 2012

Louis Klajic, age 77, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, in Van Nuys, CA. He and his family lived in Canyon Country from 1975-2007. While living in Canyon Country Mr. Klajic was active in the Boy Scouts and in his Church.

Louis was born on July 16, 1935 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. At age seventeen he became one of the youngest test pilots in the Yugoslavian Air Force. Growing up in the midst of World War II and after several failed attempts, he finally escaped to the America he had heard about as a child. In 1962 Louis became an American Citizen. His life was a testament to the many other immigrants that came to America during the Cold War. Arriving in New York City with just ten dollars in his pocket and no fear of hard work, he made a successful life here in the United States. He has left a legacy of love, family devotion, a very strong work ethic, and 8.5 beautiful grandchildren.

For the past 40 years, Louis was the owner/operator of Klajic Precision Technical Service in Van Nuys, CA. His children often worked beside him. He taught them the value of a good name, faith, and hard work. He enjoyed gardening, outdoor sports, dancing, and family gatherings.

He is preceded in death by his infant grandchild, Mathew. Louis is survived by his five children: Alexander Klajic of Dublin; Richard Klajic of Santa Clarita, CA; David Scott Klajic and wife Mychael of Texas; Rebeka Klajic of Alhambra, CA; Robin Danika Klajic of Burbank, CA; and his former wife Jill Klajic of Columbia CA; his grandchildren: Desiree, Mikyla, Fabian, Christopher, Jason, Gia, Kenna, and a soon-to-be new grandson David Klajic; many nephew and nieces.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday November 17, 2012 at the North Oaks Church of Christ, 27570 Whites Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91351.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Heart Association or other charities of your choice would be appreciated.
