Robert E. Davis Obituary

Robert E. Davis, known to all as "Mitch", passed away on Monday, June 19, 2018 in Santa Clarita, CA. He was born on May 20, 1929 in Columbus, OH.

Mitch entered the Navy in 1948 and served there until 1950. He would then re-enlist in 1954, but this time into the Army where he served until 1955. During his early years Mitch worked a variety of jobs: for a publishing company; as a tour planner and guide for Odyssey Golf; even in Hollywood for Transportation Consultants International. Mitch liked to ballroom dance and was so good at it he became a dance teacher in the '60s.

In 1971 Mitch obtained his Real Estate License and settled into the career he would follow for many years. He did well and even went to the next step of professional service by getting his Broker's License. Everywhere Mitch went was another step up: he found himself on the Board of Directors for The Southland Association of Realtors and was elected President of the Board in 2000. It was that same year Mitch and his friend, Bob Kellar, opened Kellar-Davis Real Estate in Santa Clarita where it remains today.

Mitch had lived in Santa Clarita for the past forty years, a town he loved and was so connected to through his work and friends.

Mitch never had an enemy~ he only had great friends that he would do anything for. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling with friends, and was great playing basketball even as he was older. He held his own on the tennis court also.

"We are sad to have lost our friend Mitch, but he leaves us with great memories of so many good times together. God bless you, Mitch."

He is survived by his 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Oleta.
