1943 – 2014

Ronald Russell Flesher, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Banning, CA. He was born May 6, 1943 in Pontiac, MI to John and Ann Flesher. Ron attended Michigan State University, where he met his wife Sallie. They lived in Santa Clarita, CA for 40 years and at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning for the past 6 years. He had worked in sales in the automotive industry for 44 years, including Valencia Honda for 7 years, and most recently worked as a driver for San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in the Behavioral Health Department, which he loved. Ron was an avid golfer and achieved 5 holes-in-one in his lifetime; the first one was when he was only 18 years old and two of the 5 at Vista Valencia Country Club. In addition to golf, Ron enjoyed bowling, telling jokes, and playing tennis, but had to give it up to save his knees. He was a Christian and always very spiritual and over the past few weeks he had been attending the Calvary Chapel in Beaumont.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sallie Flesher; sons: Jeffrey Paul Flesher of Thousand Oaks, CA and Christopher Scott Flesher (wife Naho) of San Francisco, CA; sister, Elaine Cullum of Carlsbad, CA; nephews: Todd Cullum of Carlsbad, CA; Tom Beldyga (wife Judy) of Stevenson Ranch, CA; Tony Beldyga (wife Billie) of Palmdale, CA; niece, Jean Crawford (husband Tony) of Danville, KY; sister-in-law, Suellen Potter of Palmdale, CA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Granddaughter Shannon was born to Chris and Naho on March 3, 2014; just one day after Ron's passing. Ron was preceded in death by his niece, LeeAnn Beldyga.
