Carmen Margaret Dunn

DUNN, CARMEN MARGARET VERDUGO Carmen Margaret Verdugo Dunn passed away on November 23, 2007. Ms. Dunn was born in San Diego on April 14, 1924, and lived there and in La Mesa throughout her life. She was the daughter of Margaret A. Townsend of La Grange, Illinois and Hector T . Verdugo of Hermosillo, Mexico. Ms. Dunn attended Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Grammar School, and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace High School in 1942. She was married to Dewey N. Dunn of Russell, Kansas from 1947 until his death in 1963. Her greatest joys were raising for her two sons and enjoying her family, home and opera. She is survived by her sons Dennis Lee and Timothy Brian, her sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Terry Burrows, granddaughter Tiffany Gerstmar, nieces Colleen MacDonough and Susan Arnett, their husbands, children and those of her late nephew Steven Burrows. Closed casket Visitation for friends was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at Erickson Anderson Mortuary in La Mesa. The private Funeral Service and burial will be on Wednesday, November 28th, at Holy Cross Cemetery.
