Dear Amanda,

I know now you're in the Heavens above on a big bright star next to the brilliant moon. There's not one day that goes by that I'm not reminded of you. On the day you left this earth to go with God, I saw a butterfly, big Monarch, went right past Donnie, Derrick and me. I tried so hard o get them to notice but, they were blinded by their own grief understandably. Then, I realized that the sign of the Butterfly was only for me to notice. Since Sept. 14th, 2010, everyday I have seen a butterfly in one form or another. I know it's a sign that you are in the most awesome place being sweet, funny, beautiful Amanda. You are one of my best friends I've ever have had the privilege of knowing and playing Killer Bunnies with. I love you and miss you so much I could hardly stand it, but you have given me a spirit, just like my Dad had given me strength, and Dolly a glimmer of child like happiness. Now you say hi to all my loved ones who pass away and that I'll be seeing you and them some other day. With all of my heart I dedicate my art to you. Thanks for being a great friend see you on the other side.

Much love,
Natalie L.B. Sprouse (kitty)

Love is always what will be remembered from Amanda. She loved and that is the greatest gift you can give to others from yourself and of yourself. Love is Kind, Love is Brave and Love is always Giving of itself. Amanda showed that to others, she was brave as well as giving to do what others were not willing to do and go where others were not willing to go and work for what others didn't see was needed to be done. May her memory always be blessed to those who knew her and her family.

Sandy, Mike and David,
My beautiful neice Amanda was one in a billion. Without her bright loving presents on this earth the sun will seem a little less bright for all of us who loved her.
I know in my heart she is in Gods loving arms and when our time on earth comes to an end we will see her smiling spirit again.
I feel her spirit in all things beautiful, the tall pine tree forest that she loved, when it snows I will know she is near, when it rains every drop will be a tear shed for the loss we feel.
God be with you always.I Love You.

We did not have the priviledge of meeting Amanda in person. However, in our friendship with her wonderful parents, we heard about their love for their daughter and about how kind, sweet, and loving a person Amanda was; so we feel as though we did "meet" her through the eyes of her loving parents. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mike, Sandy, David, and all who knew Amanda... who loved her, and who will always miss her in their lives. May your cherished memories of Amanda keep her alive in your hearts forever. God Bless.

Sandy and Mike,
Although I never had the privilege or honor of knowing Amanda, I can tell from her photo and from the messages posted here that she was a very special, joy-filled and precious young lady who will be missed by so many. When I first came to work for SDG&E in 1982, I met Sandy who was then expecting Amanda. After she was born, Sandy shared precious stories and photos of Amanda so it's as if I knew her. My deepest condolences to you all, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

How does a parent say goodbye to a daughter? How does a parent wipe away the tears? How does a parent stop the heart from twisting when memory is triggered by the simple sound from a flutter of the leaves on a tree, a bird chirping, or rippling waterfall from a fountain.
Amanda was a beautiful girl. A person who was happy all the time, Mike said. I only met her once, but I know Mike and Sandy. I am a parent too. Again, I ask, how do you say goodbye. There is no word I can say to ease the pain. But, I will always be your friend, and I am just here, if you need me, Mike and Sandy. Please remember. LoveJoanie (& Dan, too!)

Dear Sandy and Mike,
I have been praying for you daily, since I learned of your tragic loss. When I first met Amanda some time ago, I knew she was some one special. Her sweet and caring attitude, along with her angel-like smile told me that she was here in this life-time, doing exactly what was expected of us in the eyes of God. I am so happy she was placed in my path. People like Amanda are called home, to us it seems so early.
I pray that God comforts you through this difficult time. Please know that Amanda is in a beautiful place, at peace. Believe me, she has touched so many lives, she will never be forgotten.

To Amanda's family.....My name is Georgene Brueland and I am a frequent customer of the Santee Goodwill where I became friends with Amanda.....Each and everytime I came in, Amanda greeted me with a smile and gracious warmth....We became friends, and would laugh at all the "finds" I would purchase......She was very special to me and I am heartbroken to have come accross this news in the paper today.....You see, I lost my 30 year old son Marc Brueland to cancer in 2003...and like Amanda, he was beautiful and full of life....I know your pain, and I too have shed tears for Amanda on this day....I will miss her beautiful smile.....If you feel comfortable, please call me anytime so I make express this to you and also comfort you, as I know what it is to lose a child......In Sympathy, Georgene 619 701-0219
