My dear friend Sandy,
The last thing you said to me yesterday was "I hope you know how much it meant to me that you and Erika were here for me today". I want to say to you, it has been an honor to have known Charles. He was the most kind hearted, easy going man I have ever met. He was so many things, to so many people and it is evident that he touched a lot of hearts in his life time. The stories that Steven and Ted shared said a lot about the amazing man Charles was. You have both been such a big part of my life. I thank God that he brought us together. Sandy, I wouldn't have missed being there for you, for you were ALWAYS next to me when I needed you. I love you.

Sandy...I cannot express how much you and Charles have meant to us over the years. Like my father, he was one of the kindest, caring, and giving men I've had as a role model and influence in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.... may he forever, rest in peace enjoying the same warmth and love he gave to us for so many years.

Sandra,
I'm sorry that me, my husband and our baby girl can't attend the funeral. I didn't know my grandfather that well, but I sure heard a lot of great stories about him while growing up! I am blessed to have met him and my daughter Chloe will hear all the amazing stories about how smart, inventive, and hungry for God her great grandfather was. Thank you for taking such great care of my grandpa!

With lots of love from South Korea,
Jessica (Stephen's daughter)
