Chan was a fine gentleman and dear friend to Jack and to me. I always enjoyed hearing his stories from the Navy years as well as his and Jack's long time friendship. He will be remembered fondly by all of us fortunate enough to have known him

I had the privilege of knowing Chan Neill and his son Tom who passed on in 1999. Tom and I were friends in high shchool at hoover. I got a car the day I turned 16 in 1961 and always picked up Tom to take to school as we lived in allied gardens. My father Frank Berkeley worked with Chan at Naval Facilites Engineering Command. Chan came over my father house a few months ago and talked about WW 2 naval aviation. My father was a radio gunner in the SBD dive bomber, TBM and the PBY4Y2. Chan and my father loved the stories they told each other about their experiences in ww 2. Chan will be missed by all and never forgotten
