DANIEL O'BRIEN Obituary

O'BRIEN, DANIEL EDWARD FRANCIS Born, July 14, 1918, in Lynn, MA, passed away quietly at his home on November 6, 2010. He was 92 years old. Dan served in World War II as a bombardier in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and later served in the Army reserves for several years. Dan was employed by the federal government for 30 years until he retired and lived in Coronado, CA, and later in Fircrest, WA., where he enjoyed playing golf and participating in his grandchildrens' sports activities. Dan is survived by his wife, Mary-Lynne; his son, Gavin (Margaret) of Tacoma; his two daughters, Melissa Millar (Douglas) of Madison, FL and Bonnie Kipperman (Richard), of La Mesa, CA; his brother, Joseph, of Manchester, CT; and his ten grandchildren, Jamie (Los Angeles, CA) Courteney (Boston, MA), Kyle (Bellevue, WA), Sean (Madison, WI), Cassie (NYC), Brittany (Jacksonville, FL), Ashley (Jacksonville, FL), Connor, Megan and Benjamin of Tacoma. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
