DORIS CHAPPELLE Obituary

CHAPPELLE, DORIS A. Doris entered this life on February 4, 1917 in Butte, MT. She graduated high school in Helena, MT and married her husband, Arthur Chappell, in 1940. Doris and Arthur headed west and settled in Lemon Grove, CA where they have resided since 1945. This year they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She was a President and member of the Lemon Grove Business Women's Club and an avid bridge player. Doris enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper both at work and in her home life. Doris entered into rest in Spring Valley, CA on October 6, 2010 at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 2 days. She will be deeply missed by her husband Arthur; niece Colleen Chappelle; great-nephew Chris Hamill; great-niece Elaine Drover; great-great-nephews and nieces Jessica, Kelly, David, Taylor and Savannah; and her close friend Geraldine Gill. I have such wonderful memories of Doris and my Mom (Ellice Heraty) playing bridge and poker. I am sure they already have a game going up in heaven. My prayers are with Art because after 70 years he will really miss Doris. All my love to the family.
