GENE WHITED Obituary

WHITED, GENE ALVIN Aug. 9, 1934 to Sept. 24, 2010 Gene A. Whited, 76, of Bremerton, passed away of cancer on September 24, 2010. He was born on August 9, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Armice and Christine (Grassman) Whited. He graduated from Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California, in 1952. He later married Barbara Barton. He was a member of the Bridletree Association (Board), Operating Engineer Local 12, General Contractor, life member of Salmon Enhancement, and Future Farmers of America (Volunteer) 1975. He loved collecting antiques, gardening, reading and family gatherings. He is survived by his wife Barbara Whited (Barton) of Bremerton; son Wayne Whited (Karin) of Alpine, California; daughter Lynn Whited; brothers Donald Whited of Texas, Ronald Whited (Margaret) of Wapiti, Wyoming; and sister Bonnie Curley (Thomas) of Alpine, California; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Dear Barbara,
For years now, I've wondered where you and Gene had escaped to. In our lifetime, if we;re fortunate and blessed to have a friend you;ll always love and never forget, that was Gene to me. My memories are forever.
