HARVEY HUFFMAN

HUFFMAN, HARVEY Harvey Huffman, 93, passed away on December 3, 2010 in Poway. Born December 20, 1916 in South Dakota, Harvey moved to El Cajon in 1929 and then to Lakeside in 1930. He graduated from Grossmont High School. Harvey was a charter member of the Lakeside Optimist Club and the Fraternal Order of the Elks. He helped to build the Memorial Building and was active in the Chamber of Commerce. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Harvey and his wife Serena moved from Lakeside to Sandpoint, Idaho in 1978, returning to San Diego County after Serena's death in 2008. Harvey is survived by his step-sons Ric White of Ramona, Stan White of Bellingham, Washington, sister Clarabell Cray and brother Ronald Huffman both of Lakeside. Burial will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.
