I remember Jacques. I met him at a party my mother gave in Salisbury one summer. We became friends. He gave me a little flask he claimed once belonged to Napoleon. He showed me his inventions and a collection of his fishing lures -- oh, and a robot he made from the ground up -- fashioning even its nuts and bolts. He attended a French I hosted and later returned for a few days. After he moved to California, we lost contact. He sent e-mail, though. He was very proud of his family. He loved speaking with children to hear their ideas regarding possible inventions.

Met Jacques thru the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club. He became a dear friend that we both miss very much. The photo is at Rotarians at Work Day in 2009.

I only knew Jacques during his brief time in the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club. Each Friday he would come early to the meeting, greet each person warmly and always was ready to help. My strongest memory of him was helping at our walk to raise money for African children. He couldn't walk, but he was anxious to do something to help, so he manned one of the rest stations for the walkers. I never forget his smiling face greeting each walker with a cold drink as they arrived and the nice spirit he gave to the event. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

I only knew M. de Kervor through his children. Knowing nothing else about him, it still reveals he helped create a lasting, rich, and beautiful legacy. My condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss. I have known you all for many years and though we do not talk much you all are in my heart and in memories that we share together. I met your father a long time ago and it was very apparent how much he loved his family and enjoyed the time together. He was a good man and I know how it is to loose a father, a parent. It is said that we are not adults until we loose our parents. I know that it creates a big shift in our life when we loose a loved one that is so close and I wish you all peace in this reality. May God give you all peace in this, that you heal from this loss and that you find strength in his legacy, remembering him always. Ameen.
