SMITH, JOAN R. Ms. Joan R. Smith, 57 years, died on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester, MA. She was the loving daughter of Barbara (Newell) Durkee of Worcester, MA, and the late Frederick J. Smith. Born in Boston, MA, Ms. Smith worked as a directory assistant for Verizon telephone and communications. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Prior to living in Worcester, she resided in San Diego, CA, for 15 years, Hawaii for five years, Salem and Lynn, MA. Ms. Smith was the sister of Richard "Dallas" Smith of Worcester, MA, and the late Audrey Lee Magnarelli. She was the aunt of Bryan Inglis of San Antonio, TX, Richard D. Magnarelli, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Saugus, MA, and Janine Chevrette of Webster, MA, many great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, MA, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
